Welcome To The WhosOn Test Drive Website
This is a dummy website used to test drive the WhosOn Live Web Statistics and Visitor Live Chat solution. If you have arrived at this page via a search engine, please go to
http://www.whoson.com for more information.
You should by now see yourself appear in the
Current Visitors list.
If there are multiple visitors on the site you should be able to identify yourself
from the DNS Name or Location. On the
View menu, select
Auto
Preview to enable the auto-preview mode in the current visitors list.
This will show the visitor's location and organisation name.
Tip: Try and arrange your Windows so that you can see your browser window and the
WhosOn Client window at the same time.
Try Moving Pages
Select another page in the test site. Watch yourself in the Current Visitors list.
You will see your current page change.
View Your Visit Detail
Right-click yourself in the Current Visitors list and select View Visit Detail.
A new window will open showing details of your current visit.
Send Yourself An Invite
Right-click yourself in the Current Visitors list and select
Send Invite.
Now watch your browser... after a few moments, a graphic will appear floating across
your screen. This works even if popups are disabled (because its not actually a
popup). Click the graphic to open the Chat window.
Chat To Yourself
Click the Invite graphic or select the 'Click To Chat' link at the top of the page.
The Chat window will open. Enter a fictitious name and click the Start Chat button.
A popup message will then appear on your PC screen saying that a visitor wants to
chat. Click this popup. You will now be able to chat to yourself. This enables you
to experience the WhosOn chat from both the visitor and operator ends. Try sending
yourself a link (eg http://www.google.com).
Change Your Status
Click the
Busy button in your WhosOn Client. Now change or refresh your page.
Notice the 'Click To Chat' link at the top of the page has changed to 'Leave A Message'. Important:
Change your status back to 'On Line' if you want to recieve chat requests and send
Invites.
View The Web Analytics Reports
In your WhosOn Client, select
View then
Charts & Reports.
The Web Charts interface
will load. You need to log in using the same user name/password of 'test' and 'test'.
You will then be able to explore the web charts interface.
Prospect Detection
If you view 'Product Info 1', 'Product Info 2' then EITHER 'Request Information'
OR 'Order', WhosOn will trigger the Propect Detection for your visit. This will
show as a 'prospect detected' popup in your WhosOn Client. These page views can
be over several separate visits (even spanning multiple days).
